Counselling helps improve communication and interpersonal skills. As you learn more about your core values and beliefs you will gain greater self acceptance and self esteem. We will work together to find techniques and tools that will help fully express emotions in a healthy manner. We strive to provide a safe place for our clients to process day to day stressors, grief and trauma. By gaining further insight into their own personal experiences, some clients experience finding new areas of growth and purpose.

Welcome. If you’re here, it may be because you’re seeking a safe space to process the complex layers of grief and what it means to become acquainted with life in the midst of loss.

You might be carrying unresolved grief, experiencing the emotional aftermath of loss, or managing the chaos that can come from loved ones’ mental health challenges such as mood disorders, psychosis, or addiction. Perhaps you’re navigating feelings of shame, shame associated with stigmatized loss, or struggling to find your voice amidst life transitions. My professional experience in working with the ministry of children and families of British Columbia lends to my knowledge in supporting parents with kids that have big feelings due to grief and trauma, as well as, families with complex needs.

You are not alone in these experiences. Your feelings are valid, and your story matters. Whether you’re seeking clarity, a space to grieve, or tools to foster emotional regulation, my approach is rooted in empathy, compassionate inquiry, and evidence-based practices.

Through narrative and somatic therapy, I invite you to explore the stories you carry and the physical sensations that arise within your body. Grief impacts the whole body with symptoms like brain fog, muscle fatigue and digestive issues. Your lived experiences hold immense meaning—when we listen attentively to how your body responds, it can serve as a vital resource for emotional regulation, self-awareness, and healing. I support my clients in honoring all parts of  their narrative—those moments of pain, resilience, and hope—helping you to reconnect with your intrinsic strength and sense of agency.

Whether you’re untangling the effects of complex trauma, processing grief from stigmatized or traumatic loss, or navigating relational dynamics affected by mental health issues or addiction, I am here to walk with you. My goal is to empower you to reframe your story, foster self-compassion, and rediscover joy and authenticity.

If you’re ready to explore what’s inside, to make space for all your feelings, and to begin a new chapter filled with hope, I am here to support you every step of the way.

I am originally from the UK and moved to Vancouver 5 years ago. My journey with therapy is very similar to a lot of others. When I was 28 my Dad died of cancer. This was something I wasn’t prepared for. The thoughts & emotions that I felt in the weeks that followed were very dark. I thought I was alone and the only person who felt this way. I decided to see a therapist. The first session was hard to get through, but I carried on going. It was at that point that I decided to train to be a therapist because I saw first hand the value in having a safe place to process my experiences, better understand myself and as a result grow as an individual. Outside of the counselling room, I’m a Passionate advocate for women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights.

I use an integrative approach of CBT, Narrative therapy and Existential therapy to address all aspects of grief and loss, depression, anxiety, childhood trauma, neglect, stress, self-esteem and identity, and relationship problems. I create an environment that is individualized and non-judgmental to support my clients in building the tools and self-understanding they need to thrive.

There are different ways I work with my grieving clients. As someone who has experienced sudden and complex loss/grief I can say there is no graph, timetable or schedule. I work with my clients around accepting the reality of their loss, experiencing and processing the pain of grief, adjusting to their new normal and finding ways to remain connected to the person who has died.
